Favorite Summer Beers?

Harpoon Summer and Narragansett Summer would be my recommendations.

 

Had a New Glarus Berliner Weisse last week and all I could think is I wish I had a case or two of these to get me through some nice hot summer days... crispy and refreshing!

 

Damn, I'm really missing Sunshine Pils this year. Is it really that different from previous years?

I also fully agree the Victory Prima Pils and Summer Love votes, as well as SN Summerfest.

 

So true. I had one a month ago when the weather was crappy and cold and I wasn't really impressed. But had one out in the warm sun the other day, it was perfect.

 

Weihenstephaner Hefe and Vitus...........and Original, hell ANY German hefe or Weizenbock, or pilsner.....


I also love both Little sumpin sumpin, and even better, Little Sumpin Wild starting in July......

 

Going to have to try Summer love, saw a bad review here, and have stayed away, but lotta love for love this thread

I liked Bombshell Blonde, by Southern Star, and Somersault from NB (not the most popular choices, but they do it for me). Also Tank 7. I'll stop now, I promise.

 

I'm loving the new hoppy pale ales and super citrusy IPAs like Two Brothers Sidekick, Southern Tier Live, Deschutes Twilight, Surly Bitter Brewer, Founders All Day IPA, Victory Headwaters and West 6th IPA. I've been consuming several of these recently, but I can't get enough Daisy Cutter, and I still love the classics like Prima Pils and Dortmunder Gold from Great Lakes.

If I had the resources, my summer fridge would stocked with Heady Topper cans, + Westbrook Weisse Weisse Baby and gueuze.

 

I always pick up at least one sixer of Anchor Liberty Ale during the summer. Having one while watching the local 4th of July parade is apropos too. Sometimes difficult to find it reasonably fresh though.

Doesn't Lil Sumpin' Wild come out here soon. I remember drinking that while fishing last summer, and I was just in my happy place.
