Something tasty without being complicated. Summertime I want a beer that tastes good cold but not a beer that I feel like I should think about while I drink. Helles, Kolsch, American Amber.
The last 2 to spend the summer in the kegerator were Harpoon Summer (kolsch) and Flying Dog Old Scratch (American Amber). My wife called the Harpoon lawnmower beer because she said it tastes best on a hot day as you get off the mower.

A pilsner and I wouldn't mind if it's the worst in the market, if it's a hot day and I had it at work. I just need something to rinse my mouth and relax a bit before I drink a special beer.

i never drink beer when im thirsty. i feel that alcohol in even the slightest amount makes me feel dehydrated. so a beer is the last thing i ever want if it is hot.

A WC style IPA. Hops, light malt, perfection. Wouldn't mind certain saisons (not a huge fan of many) or some good pilsners either.

Call me old fashion but I prefer water to quench my list. I do, however, have beer preferences for nearly every other occasion I can think of.

Saison should be the answer as it was what they were brewed for. But unfortunately most have lost their way by being overly alcoholic, hoppy, or yeasty. A couple American examples I enjoyed recently is Upright #4 and Lucid Summertide. Upright #4 particularly stuck out as the beer that saisons were like back in the day before commercial brewing.

Honestly I dont think I have ever drank a beer to "quench my thirst". Usually I drink water for that. But if I had to choose one that is satisfying I would pick a Hefe, and more specifically probably SN Kellerweis.
