True, but what you can get right now that most outside of MA can't is Jack's Abby Mom and Pop's Wet Hop Lager, and I strongly suggest you go get some right now and check it out. It's rather good.

All of the above beers sound amazing. Is Founders Harvest Ale out yet? Besides Sierra Nevada, it is one of the few mentioned that I can get here in PA.

I've had a number of these recently. Here's how I rank them:

    Fremont Cowiche Canyon Fresh Hop
    Surly Wet
    Sierra Nevada Northern Hemisphere
    Minneapolis Town Hall Fresh Hop
    Old Schoolhouse Fresh Hop
    Leafer Madness Fresh Hop
    Deschutes Hop Trip
    Indeed Fresh Hop

I like this beer (and Jack's Abby's stuff generally, for the most part), but people who pick it up as a "wet hop beer" of the sort being discussed in this thread will likely have their expectations dashed. It's a crisp, refreshing lager with some nice hop notes in the balance, but it's not particularly hop-forward.

    Real good stuff, though.

Founders Harvest Ale is the only one I know I can get, but it is fantastic so I'm okay with this.
I did have Surly Wet and it too was a delicious treat.

Turns out that Founders Harvest is the best of the bunch.

    Also, go Tigers!

Damn how limited is Founders Harvest? It's 1 bottle per person ($2.75) at a local store I and wouldn't have even known about it if I hadn't asked when it was coming in. This is at a place where I can grab a couple four packs of KBS or a case of backwoods without trouble. Wonder if this is just an anomaly..

I know it's only sold in October (I think??), but the Whole Foods I got it at the other day seemed to have a TON. They didn't even have any more Breakfast Stout out (probably in the back I'd reckon), just a bunch of Harvest Ale and..... a shitload of Cerise for whatever reason.

Still waiting on the Founders, but in the meantime the Sierra Nevada Northern Hemisphere Harvest and the Port High Tide have been mighty fine and I'll be going back for more.

Wet-hopped brew is the cherry blossom of the craft brew haiku.

Nope. It's hard to come by. It seems that Founders doesn't brew as much Harvest Ale as other seasonals. I'm just theorizing, but it could be determined by the availability of wet hops. Also, I would imagine they are fairly expensive to buy and ship as well as they need to be shipped overnight.

A style that Sierra Nevada seems to me has locked up. Southern, Northern, and Estate, are all stellar beers. Surly Wet and Brau Hundred Yard Dash are also better than most. Honorable mention to Deschutes Hop Trip but their Chasin' Freshies was not so good. Never thought Founders Harvest was very good.

Easy. Pizza Port San Clemente's Get to the Hopper, about 3 weeks ago, when it was newborn-fresh. I filled a few growlers with this nectar of the gods. It's starting to fade by now, but I'm guessing they'll brew it again next year (very well-reviewed). And that's reason enough to live one more...
