i find that wheat beer is probably the type of beer that is most liked by less picky beer drinkers, so a high quality one can be almost universally pleasing, so far my favorite is sierra nevada hefeweizen, are there any great wheat beers out there that you know of?

FFF Gumballhead's my number 1. I could drink it all day. When it was gone I felt like my dog just died.

Boulevard 80 Acre is fantastic as well.

Gumball is great. But my favorite is New Glarus Cracked Wheat. Hope it comes back. Also like New Glarus Dancing Man.

Hands down for me is Aventinus followed by Weihenstephaner's Vitus. On the American craft side I found Breckenridge's agave wheat to be a nice light offering.

Of course everyone is saying Gumballhead.. It's good but not what a wheat should be. You should try Weinstephaner or Schnieder Hefe.

Weinstephaner's Hefeweizen is definitely the best hefeweizen I've had, simply amazing. For darker wheat beers the Samichlaus beers are great, although since they're higher in alcohol if you're looking for something to please many choosing a lighter one of their beers may be the best option.
