There are many other good ones. I've always like Sierra Nevada's wheat if you're looking for an american interpretation.

Gonna to have to agree with you on this one. Had it both bottled and on tap. It was good dont get me wrong, but not over-the-top phenomenal.

    American: Bells Oberon, no question.

    Traditional German:
    Weienstephaner
    Paulaner
    Aventinus
Augustiner - I will always have love for it. I enjoyed a glass with weisswurst and pretzels outside at the Augustiner Am Plaz in Munich on a sunny warm Sunday in October. As close to heaven as I care to fly while alive.

Enjoy the yeast. Leave the fruit.

    Aventinus for a dark wheat
Southampton Double White is a less obvious one that I like. Double gravity and a bit more fun than a usual American wheat IMO.

I think Allagash White is a bit overrated tbqh.

Years ago, the best I had was in small town in Germany paired with a Jaegerschnitzel dinner, can't remember the brewery (so many small one's there).

Around here, I like Bell's Oberon and for a very easy drinking wheat 312 from Goose Island.
