Favorite Wheat Beer

    Going to really make an effort to try more wheat beers this year, like Oberon just sat and watched all of it disappear last year saying to myself meh just a wheat beer. As of right now my favorite wheat beer is DFH Red & White I can drink that anywhere with anything.

    Trillium stumpy duck - I know probably few will have tried this, since it's local and they have only brewed it once so far, but anyone from the Boston area that has had the privilege will agree. The stuff is wheat bear on another level

    I've tried a bunch of'em and I think Schneider Weiss Aventinus Tap 6 is the best wheat beer you can get. Its a wheat dopplebock, it tastes like a banana dipped in chocolate. Amazing beer... I tried Tap 7 for the first time tonight and it is another outstanding beer but not as good as Tap 6.

    Wiehenstephaner Vitus twice a week. Have not gotten out of a good beer store without looking for it or buying out the stock.

    That's why on all the three floyd's brews it says on the packaging "not normal". That being said, Gumballhead also gets my vote for favorite wheat beer, hands down.

    Good for you.. Three Floyds is one of my favorite breweries and while Gumballhead is pretty good, it isn't the best wheat beer in any traditional sense. The style is pretty "normal" at this point actually though, American pale wheat/hoppy wheat.

    Franziskaner remains at the top of my list. Tallgrass makes a great wheat as well.

    just tried a beer called are wheat there yet, it's made by cigar city brewery as part of a series called bus brewing, really excellent, lots of different citrus flavors but still very mild. highly recommended.
