I am sorry but I would rather drink aged Bud Light than watch that guy's videos!!

    Yep!

Watched 3 seconds and that was enough! Any beer review that starts with a parental advisory because the guy says the F-word a lot is not for me!

Not a prude or anything, I swear, and I'm perfectly fine with informal beer reviews, but that's just immature and directed towards an age group that isn't even old enough to drink

What bothered me most was that he was a Raiders fan!! :stuck_out_tongue:

Is it just me, or can you not take your eyes off that Beer Temple guy???? I mean, I don't use the term 'devastatingly handsome' lightly, but....

I'm going to give some of these a whirl, but I just dont enjoy many youtube channels or podcasts at all.

My faves are usually just the extended interviews with the brewers themselves (Vinne Cilurzo, John Kimmich, etc), that I can always seem to mine for more and more information each time I watch/listen.

I like Beer Geek Nation but wish the videos were a bit longer.

Greg's Beer Reviews is excellent and his voice is somehow therapeutic I find! Shame he spends so long banging on about best before dates though (even though he has a point!).

Craft Beer Temple is good and has some good videos on ignored styles like Dortmunders and Munich Helles lagers.

But my favourite has to be........

Louisiana Beer Reviews.!!!! Ronald Theriot is one of the most prolific reviewers and reviews the widest variety of beers. He reviews the most stuff that I can actually get because he does so many macro beers and not just special release US craft beers etc. I don't always agree with his opinions (I think he rated Budweiser an "A"!!!) but he gives good descriptions and gives every beer a fair chance.

My wild card would be Beer Goggles Reviews. Great for English Beers and usually entertaining.

Thanks for enlightening me about these. I've only watched a few of the TV shows (Brew Dogs, the DFH reality show etc). and old YouTube footage of the Michael Jackson guy from way back. I'll definietly check some of these out.

I've been really impressed with The Erie Better Beer Bureau's reviews lately, plus they do blind tastings, which are always fun to watch. Other favorites: Craft Beer Temple, What Cheers!, TMOH.

I actually stumbled onto Better Beer Authority by accident looking for a review of something and ended up watching it for about 3 hours. After reading these comments I wondered if I was watching the old crew or the new crew so I went back to the YouTube channel and watched one of the recent ones. And by watched I mean I made it 15 seconds in. YIKES. Who is this guy? He looks like "The Beast" from that gameshow The Chase. Terrible.

The old guys were good. What happened to them??

As punchable as I find Chris Steltz's face to be, I like BeerGeekNation for its polished, succinct presentation. He's definitely pulling a lot of those aromas and flavors out of his ass, but his tastes seem to be in line with mine (for the most part).

Greg's Beer Reviews is also good, but he's a slow, ramblin' man.

Liked Better Beer Authority during the James Knott days, but the guys doing it now are clearly uncomfortable in front of the camera. Then again, when you compare the early BeerGeekNation videos to the current ones the difference is night and day. Maybe they just need some time.

I think it's because every review sounds the same....like a good stout, they are all "WOW , (throws head back and looks off camara)' massive amounts of leather, vanilla, dark fruits..." They all sound like they taste the same

i like BGN. don't always agree with his reviews, but most of the time we are on the same page tastewise, so i appreciate hearing what he's going to say

also, he's one of the more articulate reviewers, and makes an effort to keep his concise. i really can't stand the ones that drag out for 7-20 minutes. plus he makes somewhat of an effort production wise. definitely most watchable one out there

i feel like sometimes he might be too verbose in his descriptions - and he might rehearse a bit - but i'd rather watch that than people rambling on with no direction. some of them are absolutely awful
