I realise there is a Breweriana section, but wanted to get some regional thoughts (so please F2Brewers, just delete rather than relocate if not appropriate in this forum).

Wondering what your favourite glassware from Australia and NZL is.

I quite like the Temple Wine glass

The new Riverside is also another fave.

I've never seen this one from Murrays in the flesh, only online pics, so not sure if available.

Anyone else out there doing some good looking glasses?

I like the Red Hill glass, but rarely use it because I have too many other glasses! Can't remember what type it is, but I would almost classify it as a tulip.

That Murrays one looks awesome. The best I can do for glassware is my Big Helga half stein! :grinning:

Has anyone tried the new Speigelau (spelling) IPA glass?

Yeah - I think so. It's kind of cut off so can't quite tell.

As for the Speigelau, I've got two at home. Got it to replace my perfect pint glass. I quite like it, though the glass isn't as thick as I had hoped for. Keep imagining I'm going to break it.

I really like the glasses modeled after the Aventinus glass with a stem at the bottom. Finds that it helps head retention / creation when you get near the end.

Speigelau IPA glass is a great glass, does as intended. Agree that they do seem a bit thin but they are good quality glass and not as fragile as they appeal.

I only use my Speiglau IPA glass now, it is a great glass. I cracked one of them after a week of having it though. They are very fragile.

Bugger - I have all the varieties and have wondered if they can be cracked easy. Sounds like they can.

Shit I thought they were quite solid, took a bigger knock than my last jester king glass. Might have to make sure the kids don't wash them.

The Redoak Globe Glass is decent (nearest of the glasses in the pic below).

They don't sell any of the other glasses for reasons clear to them but nobody else. Last time I was there a staff memeber said it was because they were "too special".

I don't have a great deal of Aussie glassware, but one I did find at the proverbial back of the cupboard was a Powers glass ... wonder how old that one might be?

My favourite is my Speigelau stemmed pilsner (tulip), with the Feral badge on it. Second after that would be my Feral and Little Creatures pint glasses. Dont mind my little creatures pils glass either.
