Tonight I had a Czechvar canned Jan 20, and then a Pilsner Urquell canned Feb 2. The Czechvar has a more complex fermentation character and round flavour. My preference changes all the time, but Czechvar is every bit as good. Its too bad I can't get fresh Jever as a comparison. The 15 month best before on Jever is very misleading.

Picked up a 6pk of Prima Pils today. I've not had it in awhile so I'm excited to crack one tonight.

I'm one of 3 people who voted for Tipo. I've been to "that place". It's an Italian bastardization of a true pils, but it's incredible. Lizardville in CLE tapped a keg of it once under direct order from the brewer "you have to tap it fresh or I won't send you one". Good story. Great beer. It's amazing fresh!

Ol' Factory Pils - Two Roads. Granted hard for me to say any Pils is my "favorite" they all taste like miller light to me

I just gotta ask: beers like Prima Pils, Firestone Walker Pivo Pils, Troegs Sunshine Pils,... taste like Miller Lite to you?

    Cheers!

Victory Prima Pils is a far cry from Miller Light. Sierra Nevada also distributes to CT, so their Nooner and Summerfest shouldn't be hard to find.

If you simply do not like the pilsner style, that's fine, everyone is entitled to their tastes and opinions, but you should at least try a few other well-regarded examples to know that they aren't all like Miller Light.

Well, I'd imagine they might all taste like Miller Lite to me if I drank mostly IPAs and DIPAs and had been afflicted with LTS.

Czechvar and Urquell are my two favorites, by a longshot. There's one or two domestic craft ones that are ok, but none are better than the two named imports.

So your comparing contrasting styles? I can take or leave Troegs hoppy stuff personally, but Sunshine Pils is a seriously great Beer. As are most of the other mentioned Pils, and they're nothing like aal stuff at all. You should maybe try them before condemning them to AAL status. If you prefer them to IPAs to Ipas I understand completely, but that's a different topic.
