Looking for a really cool wall mounted opener for our new house. Any advice?

I have this one from Design Toscano:

When I got it (a long time ago) it was nickel plated. It looks cool, works great – doesn't crease caps at all, is reasonably priced and is standing up to the test of time. 1000's of bottle opened!

If you don't like the look of that one, the site has a bunch of other designs.

The Starr X ones are solidly made and they have a ton of choices. I would look on E-bay for both old and new ones.

Even though, as I mentioned, they tend to snap the necks off of Anchor bottles :grimacing:, I have Vaughn NeverChip openers in the cellar, the garage and the mudroom where the beer fridge is. Don't recall what brands/businesses they are from - I know I have a few Coors, Gibbons and Schaefer branded ones, as well as some from long gone liquor stores.

Available at junk stores and flea markets for 25¢-$1, or ten times that amount and up(I guess) on eBay and other collectors' venues. But, c'mon, it's "the bottlers Bottle Insurance"!
