Was just at the Fairfax, VA Total Wine, and they had FBS for 3.99 a four pack. Picked up a case for 23.94, bottled 11/11/11. They also had Bell's Cherry Stout and Bell's Java Stout for 3.99 a four pack. No idea if it is all area Total Wines, or just the Fairfax one.

Is this an "old beer" discount? That is amazing.

I guess they were just trying to clear out older seasonals to make room for spring/summer stuff. Yea the coffee may be a little faded, but its still damn good.

Wowzers. Was at TW on Wednesday, but didn't see this deal. FBS isn't my fav, but I'd have picked some up at that price!

Sounds like a mistake.. but hey why not capitalize? I once got 2 bottles of DFH 120 Minute IPA last year for $1.99 each at a Whole Foods because they weren't in the system and just had $10.99 stickers on the cap that the cashier glanced at a little too quickly.. or thought was a mistake because most people who don't know better think $10.99 for a single 12 oz. beer must be a mistake. Went back and bought 4 more along with 2 bottles of Olde School which were $3.99 each, and they rang them all up at $3.99. Unfortunately after that they caught on.

Definitely not a mistake. The original price (9.99 for the FBS, 15.99 for the bell's sixers), was crossed out and a clear 3.99 was written with a marker, and thats how it was in their system as well. It seems like they are just trying to clear out winter seasonals.

From what I could tell, they had about 2.5 cases of Cherry stout, and 3.5 cases of java stout (15.96 a case), and I am guessing about 2 cases of FBS (23.94 a case) left on the floor this evening, no idea if they had more in the back, or if the same deal is being offered at other Total Wines.

Just went to the Lincolnia and bought some 6 packs of Williamsburg Coffeehouse Stout for $3.99. Super awesome! They had some other seasonals as well.

Any chance that huge stack of Third Coast Old Ale they had was discounted to 3.99?

Slobeleg: I'm not sure although I did see some people buying some. It was pretty busy and I was in and out there so I didn't get a full chance to look around.
