Does anyone know if you can pay your bills online instead of having fedex auto-pay from a credit card. I don't mind the auto pay but id like to know when I'm paying and the totals before it just comes out of my bank account randomly!

I too would like to know the answer to this. It appears as thought I'm getting the draft pulled out about a week and a half after printing the label.

I spoke with the FedEx reps a few months back about making their billing easier to read. My issue was more wanting to know which packages were included in each bill. They advised you could ask them to charge each transaction separately instead of grouped. That has helped me so far

I asked about this a couple years ago and was told no. I can see why though, or at least why a valid card has to be used to register an account. If they left it up to user to pay on their own it would be an accounting nightmare and no doubt a lot of payments would be weeks/months/years late. Hell, somebody could open an account and just decide to never pay, or open an account under a fake name (and never pay) On the other hand, if you are a business shipping hundreds of boxes a week I'd bet they "might" be a little more flexible.

I had a thread about it before but watch these rats closely. I used to trust them to be well organized and then my bank balance was off once so I dug around and found three invoices that they had double billed me on. Took literally three phone calls, a few hours on the phone, a few hours of excel sheet accounting on my end and a week of waiting to get the three duplicate charges backed out. It was a total of like $270. I watch them like a hawk now....

That's unfortunate. I thought I was in the same situation...I was charged two times for the same bill. However, after calling them I realized that they had already reimbursed me for the second bill.

The only explanation they could offer me was that they had made "temp hold" charges which had failed to reverse for some reason. But this was after me walking them through it for like a half hour and INSISTING that I had been double charged even though they tried to tell me repeatedly that all the charges were in order. So frustrating to have them say things like "we bill for multiple shipments on one invoice, maybe that's why you are confused" when I was handing them very precise data like invoice numbers, transaction numbers and charge dates. They just wouldn't listen to what I was saying. Once I FINALLY got them to take my word it was a week of "investigation" before they called back to say that I was correct and would be refunding my money.

It happened to my local friend as well with one charge. Maybe that's just incredible coincidence but with that kind of frequency it got me to the point where I always double check their work for them.

Sort of sucks but at this point I have been paying for shipments at fedex in person instead of using my acct. The minor loss in discounts is easily made up for by me not needing to waste my precious time watching all their charge activity.:angry:

Separate but related, UPS allows you to bill it to your account (and gives you a discount when doing so) and then you can pay the invoices on your own. I do think their accounting system is better.
