FedEx damaged box - claim

    Hi,
    As sh** sometimes happens, my box got dammaged at a FedEx facility in CA. 3 broken bottles total. As beer was leeking from the box, they unboxed the remaining bottles and ship them back to me in NY. Long story short, I had to ship a second box to CA so my partner could finally get his beers.

    I talked on the phone to FedEx and they told me to fill a claim wich I am about to do. My concern is not about the broken bottles but about paying shipping twice.

    What should I state in this claim regardig the leeking and the content of the box?
    Should I simply fill the claim or shall I include some other documents such as receipt and a photocopy of the label used?
    Is there anything specific I should mention in oder to get my first shipping refounded?

    No FedEx experience, but with UPS I only filled out claim form including value of the one can that broke. Got check for shipping cost and 4$ for the can.
    Other content of the box was sent back to me.

    What do you guys say is in the damaged/lost box? I am going through this right now and they told me to file a claim (package missing).
