I have traded beer for about 8 years. In 8 years I have never experienced a lost package until now. I have already written off the beer in the package as a lost cause. Anyhow, I still owe a package that will go out soon. Should I proceed as normal and ship Fedex anyhow or do I need to open a UPS account? I thought I was a pro but I still have noob questions. Thanks Nate

Whenever a box gets lost/confiscated/etc., it's normal for the sender to worry about their account being flagged or something. I don't remember ever seeing or hearing any evidence of that, at least not on BA. I'm guessing FedEx will be happy to continue to accept your money.

I recently sent a box whose address label was torn off in Fedex processing. I tracked it down and in an attempt to get the box back had to fess up that beer was in it because they had opened the box to see if there was any address identification within. I ended up talking to numerous Fedex reps and pleading just to ship the box back or send to the recipient and that I would never, ever try such a thing again. This was all in vain and the box was a loss because they refused to handle it further. All these calls were logged and linked to my account because the rep I talked to would always reference my earlier calls. I learned from the experience and now put the labels on myself under layers of clear tape. I sent out another box to that recipient and 3 others since without issue and they all arrived safely. But I'm just a bit more nervous now until I know they've been delivered. Just try to review your packing process to see if you can figure out what may have gone wrong and good luck

I had one box get confiscated a few weeks ago. I was paranoid that I was going to be put on some sort of watch list too, but I still used FedEx to send another package of beer to the exact same address a week later and it went through just fine.

Thanks for all the responses!... Sucks ass to lose a package but good to know FedEx doesn't have a watch list.
