Doesn't surprise me at all. FedEx guy did drop off a box yesterday (Sunday) but with the holidays and wet weather everywhere, including CA, thankfully! They have to be backed up pretty bad. Dropped off a trade at UPS today and the girl said to expect delivery on Friday "maybe" and that I could guarantee delivery by Christmas for $84. Original shipping cost $29. Considering it was a trade and not Christmas gifts I didn't pay the extra.
There was a big fedex truck crash today and I regretfully inform you that your beer package......didn't make it. I'm sorry for your loss. http://abcnews.go.com/US/jersey-highway-crash-sends-fedex-packages-flying-10/story?id=27610996
Just recently happened to me the other day. If you are shipping to or from the north then i wouldn't worry about it. It's probably the weather being shitty that is postponing the packages. That's what was happening with mine.
Yeah, guess it's going around as mine went N/A for two days over the weekend, but looks like it finally made it out from the drop-off point and is now scheduled for delivery tomorrow. Nicely enough FedEx gave me absolutely nothing but silence on the two inquiries I made when it was in that status... but all seems to be well now at least.
It's been hit or miss. I've had a few arrive as normal, but I've also had a few that went 2 extra business days. I'm assuming anything this week is going to be an extra day or two.
I sold a fishing to a guy in New York last week. Tracking showed it as undeliverable, then routed to another town, then there were no updates for 2 days, then magically it was delivered safe and sound. Long story short, give it a couple extra days this time of year
I had a package that was to be delivered yesterday, nothing showed up, got "NA" from fedex last night and I checked Again today, and it was delivered to my place this morning
I've also had packages delivered on Sunday and early. Another one was a couple days late. I agree that anything can happen.
