Visited Chicago recently and wanted to bring back some beers we don't get in Savannah. We don't get much here in the deep south. So, after many trades my first bottle broke. At least I was only shipping to myself, otherwise I would have felt badly. FedEx repackaged the shipment and sent it to me. This happen to anyone else? Should I be expecting a strongly worded letter?
I did something similar recently and FedEx wouldn't even take the package, I had to find a UPS to ship my beer back to California
Expect a letter.... Though don't worry about it. Most of us have received one at some point. Consider it a badge that comes with some time in the hobby.
I had fedex not only repackage, but cleaned up all the glass and beer. No letter received from that one.
Earlier noticed that my can of sixpoint Rad has gone missing. Two beers lost. One breakage and one stolen, or payment however you look at it.
I had two boxes damaged due to what I'm assuming was exploding NG Berliner a couple weeks ago, both cleaned out of beer and glass shards, repacked (not particularly well), and one sent on to the original destination while the other got returned. No letter yet, but it hasn't been that long. Casualties were mainly the Berliner except one box had both bombers removed as well, not sure if they broke, were compensation for the FedEx employee's time, or the guy was simply too lazy to find a bigger box that would fit the larger bottles.
