Hi guys, I recently shipped out a 12-pack shipper to someone and it didn't make it outside my city before it was retained at FedEx for containing Alcohol. I had to go pick it up at the distribution center across town. Does anyone have any experience with what causes items to be flagged and how I can avoid it in the future? I'm also curious if my name/ address is flagged now in their system or if I am safe to reship it out in new packaging later this week. Thanks for the input!
I'm curious how you packed the bottles. Fedex generally does not just open bottles for personal amusement. They had to have a reason.
Was it damaged in transit? That happened to me a few months ago and they tossed the box. I then got a letter from FedEx's legal department saying I need to check off "Adult Signature Required" in order to ship alcohol, which I thought was interesting. Basically, they will send you that letter as a "this is covering our ass, but please ship whatever you want via FedEx" as I shipped 3 boxes the very next day from receiving the letter without any issues.
