As a new member (less than 2 days as of now), I couldn't even imagine asking someone to blindly trust a new member, on a trade. Furthermore, I wouldn't even attempt to do any trading for a good 1.5-2 months anyways. I feel like it takes that long to get a feel for what you want, what you can offer, and who best fits your trade needs/style.

I met a guy last week who explained beer trading to me and introduced me to this site. I was a little disappointed to find out there is a thirty day waiting period. I was looking forward to trying some new beers from around the country! But after reading rules I have to agree with it. I live in Albuquerque NM, so if anyone is interested in Marble, La Cumbre, Nexus, or Bosque Brewing Co. keep me in mind. I will be willing to ship first when I am allowed to post for trading in 30 days.

The 3 post threshhold might be a tad low, but the people suggesting 50+ are asking a bit much. I have been a member since march of 2010 and i have only accumulated 30 posts. Not everybody on these boards posts a whole lot.

I feel like 30 days and 3 posts is a good standard. Setting too many rules and restrictions will discourage beer lovers who have never been on trade forums from even trying. If you get burned you can't complain remember you trade at your own risk.

As a new user, I have to say 30 days seems fine, and I am certainly cool with it! But damn...only 3 posts? Any asshole can knock that out easily. I would increase the posts to 10-20, if anything.

Looks like the general consensus is that these rules are acceptable. We'll let it roll for now.

    Thanks again for the feedback.
