Feedback on a Rye IPA, would be appreciated.

    Honestly, when I first envisioned this beer I didn't, and when I was planning using an English Ale yeast.

    Now, I think I'll just try to get the spiciness with the rye, the earthiness from the late and dry-hop columbus additions. Centennial should have a more subtle citrus, and a citrus that doesn't sound off-putting to me when used with rye.

    So, it's not what I was originally planning, but that's why I was seeking some advice. I feel pretty good about the changes...we'll see how it turns out.

    Not in my experience. But I saw further up that you like Two Hearted, so if that's subtle enough for you, then I'd say go for it. (Centennial is probably my favorite hop for IPAs.)

    How about decent yeast such as WLP001 or 1056 ?
