Its pretty hard to say because no one knows the availability of the Pegs growlers yet. If they are as limited as they were for the previous release, they will be much much harder to acquire.

I honestly don't think Black Tuesday 2012 would even score you 1 growler, never mind the two you are asking for. Black Tuesday topped the 10,000 bottle count this year - while we're probably looking at less than 1000 Peg's growlers, allocation unknown. I'd happily toss out a Black Tuesday for one of those growlers, and I bet the majority of BT owners feel the same way.

As for Jackie O's... I don't know. They don't seem to have anywhere near the pull they did a year or two ago, but obviously they are nice and limited beers. Only a Peg's growler owner could really decide for themselves on that one.

For now, those Peg's growlers are certified insta-whales, and I think it's going to take either a couple of years for production to increase, or the ratings need to drop hard, before they become available for anything less than a body part.

Just wanted to clarify that I'm not looking to do 1:1 Peg's for BT, BT would be part of a larger trade. I probably didn't make my post as clear as it could have been. I figured I don't have the ammo to pull a growler based on rarity but am hoping a FL local will be interested in trying some beers they haven't had and not hold the Peg's for ransom.

FYI, last time it was only 25 growlers, yes, that's right..25. This time there is supposed to be more, but I highly doubt it will get anywhere close to 1000. Pegs just doesn't make that much BA beer, and we have to remember that a good bunch of it is going into kegs to be sold on premise.

I am honestly stunned that they haven't set a limit on the growlers yet. There isn't much room inside Peg's to store barrels. Inside, there is a stand with six barrels, but they're very small. Furthermore, Doug has four BA beers going on tap that day. He must have some other barrels stashed away, but it can't be that much more.
Your other issue is probably that anyone going to Peg's knows that anything could happen. I've had people request growlers from me, but I can't commit to anything because there's just no telling if I'll even get a growler.

They don't know if they're going to have their own growlers yet, so it's still kind of unsure at the moment.

BT is practically shelf beer and the demand for Jackie O's and Baller Stout has tapered off considerably. I dont even know if someone would trade a DOS for all of those bottles.

Last RareR DOS growler I saw traded went for a 2006 Kaggen.

I actually maxed my allocations this year to dump it all and save a few people from suffering through it.
