Has anyone been over to the America's Most Expensive Ballpark yet for the new season? I have tickets tonight. I assume the Sam Adams presence will still be strong this year, wondering if any other hidden gems I should look out for inside the park?
Download the MLB Ballpark App. It has a "beer and Wine Finder" Function. After you have selected your stadium it will show you all the beers available at that stadium. You select the beers you are interested in and it will show you where they are available within the park. It's pretty helpful, I used it on trip to Cleveland...https://www.mlb.com/apps/ballpark
Nice bit of info. But you need to change your handle to DAL-Zuuuuc or pick another player from your non-playoff team. :0)
Where do you find the beers in the app? All I can find is a list of locations selling beer in the maps section, but they all just say "beer"
Yea I see that now. Not every Stadium has the same level of detail. Progressive Field has a list of all the beers. Fenway doesn't. Guess it's more useful in some stadiums more than others. Sorry about the false hope...Have to say it was invaluable in Cleveland last week, we saw the Twins and the Yankees, and had some great beers....
Ah, makes sense. I thought that's what it would be but was hoping I was just missing something in the app. Still cool to have for other ballparks.
Went to the game last night (great game despite the weather). Best draft option I found was the Sam NEIPA (pretty good on draft) and for cans it was the Lord Hobo 617, which was ok but not great. Couldn't find the usual Jack's Abby House Lager or Smuttynose cans, perhaps those are gone with the Sam deal. Also, the peanuts were delicious.
Apparently there will be Julius for the Phish show tonight and hopefully tomorrow. I'll be in section 8 tomorrow night with my wife and would rather pay too much for a Julius than a Harpoon. Can someone post what sections the see Julius tonight so we can cross our fingers for tomorrow? Thanks Cheers, Dave
julius was only on the field tonight. but fairly plentiful. pretty sure it lasted at least to the beginning of setbreak.
I was there last Saturday and other than the Sam Adams on draft everywhere,( Sam 76 is my go to on draft at Fenway) they were selling cans of Harpoon ipa, and Lord Hobo 617, as well as an assortment of macro brews in the stands, which was a first for me. Certainly beats making everyone get up to go grab a beer on draft.
