Has anyone used, or heard of anyone using this kit from fermentap that converts a carboy to a conical fermenter?

Haven't used it, but it sounds like a PITA to use and would take a lot of extra effort to dry hop or add other secondary ingredients.

I'd wonder why this item is being discontinued. (It has zero user reviews.) There must be some issue, and what @DrMindbender mentioned above is a big one.

I hadn't thought about dry hopping / additions. Makes sense.

That's why it sounded like a PITA to me.

Can't help but think this could work better with a Better Botter. The larger opening on the neck would provide the ability to have a larger valve and you could cut a whole in the bottom (now top) to use with a bung and airlock. Removing the bung will allow enough space to add dry hops and what not. Fermentap should revisit this.

I wonder if the stand can be found somewhere. I have a better bottle with a crack at the bottom that I could drill out.
