Hi new to homebrewing so please excuse my ignorance, I'm trying to cram in as much as I can. I found a wine cooler to use as a fermentation chamber for pretty cheap, and wondering if it will work for my planned brews, IPAs, Pale Ales and Stouts only. It has a digital select-able range of 32-64 degrees as is but I'm assuming I can mod it with temp controller and heat as well. I hate to pass this deal up, some rich person wants it out of their vacation home.

homebrewers have to learn to scrounge and forage for equipment. Yes, those temps will work for fermentation. If its a good deal grab it. Worse case is you have an extra beer fridge.

As long as you can fit your fermenter and air-lock/blow-off in there, it will work. Temp controllers bypass the internal one.
