It may be ugly but it's mine and it's gonna help me improve my brewing. Fridge is 8 cubic feet and cost me 50 dollars on letgo and 33 for the inkbird. I just changed by temperature down to 59. Does that seem appropriate if I want my beer to be in the 65 range? I have it taped to the outside of the carboy with a piece of bubble wrap surrounding it.
Is that the temperature of your controller? If you have the temperature probe 'attached' to your carboy and insulated with bubble wrap, and you want to ferment at 65 degrees F, I would think you would set your controller to that target fermentation temperature. I have fermometers attached to my fermentors (plastic buckets) and I use the temperature readout (green) to indicate my fermentation temperature; this 'works' for me. Cheers!
