I have racked every single beer I've done to a secondary, (10) and i had never seen that. On the bright side, @BigHornyDevil was right, they were yeast colonies because i woke up this morning and looked in the carboy and we have fermentation! The surface has some krausen on it. NOW, to the question, i want to taste the beer in order to decide whether i need to add more pumpkin spice or not. Then, i want to transport about 1.5 gallon to do an experiment with. As is, fermentation looks well, would it be ok for me to do what i have stated above? Keeping everything very sanitized of course... Thanks

Are there any advantages/disadvantages to adding more yeast?

Now that you have a (second) krausen? Leave it alone.
