Exactly. Doors to Festibarrel officially open at NOON. But, we are offering "Early Admission" at 11am to the first 100 people who purchase $50 worth of drink tickets early. There is no admission fee the whole day, but if you buy "Early Admission" tickets, we will let you in at 11am before everyone else at Noon.

Man, I didn't go to this last year and regretted it...I was considering going out to Wisconsin that weekend, but I might have to stay now. Damn you Riverview!!!

I think the thread last year complained that they didn't rotate kegs so people were waiting hours for certain ones to be tapped. Looks like they listened and will now be rotating. I plan to attend if I can find someone to drag along with me

Last year was a pretty great time, though I agree with a little diversity with the keg changing. I'm pretty sure I'll try to get early admittance tickets, if they don't sell out too quick. May use all the drink tickets on Baudonia if it's tapped when I walk in.

What type of crowd was there? Was it wall-to-wall, or was there breathing space?

I know one can't assume that a year later it won't be more packed (this is Chicago, after all), but I'm curious how many people were there throughout the day.

I'm more curious about what River I can supposedly View from this bar.
    I don't see one.

My guess is that it's related to Riverview Park, an old amusement park in Chicago:

The Chicago River runs right by where the park used to be.

It was fairly packed within an hour of being open. I was able to grab a bar seat right by the front door (which in retrospect was a huge mistake because it was really f'ing cold that day and so many people were in and out the door essentially stayed open). When I left around 4 there was still enough room to move around. Of course, expect there to be three times as many people this time!

Rather obscure history, I love it!

Ive ridden my bike by this spot too many times to count. Always wondered what it was like and now will add it to my list of places to hit. Doubt I'll do this pahty though, I'm gettin' Barrel-Aged-Beered-out recently.

Interested in this event as well. I know tappings will be tiered like last year, but what about bottles? How will that work? Will those also be 5 oz pours? Opened throughout the event? Available at the beginning? @fabes

Pretty sure you can buy a bottle at any point throughout the day. Just has to be consumed on premise. I believe it was mentioned on the facebook event page.

Guys, here's a couple answers to some of your questions....

    Bottles:
Bottles will be available for sale. We will not be pouring bottles as part of the event. You purchase, you drink. On premise consumption only. Because we have a limited amount of bottles, they will be one per person, per variant. NO HOARDING!

    Lines:
We will have two separate lines for the event in the morning. One for Early admission (11am) heading North on Damen, one for non-early admission(Noon and on) heading South on Damen. We will have a guest list of people who have purchased the Early Admission tickets and we will come find you in line before we let you in and give you a wristband and a package. If you're late, you're Early Admission wristband and package will be at will call in the Main Room. Please do not forget your ID. No ID, no entry.

BTW, as of Jan 21 at 10:30am, we still have some Early Admission Tickets available.

How much are bottles going to be? Are we talking like $55 for bottles of Prop and BCS Vanilla?

Bottle prices will be in line with on-premise prices.
