I'm curious to everyone's opinion on this. $20-$25 per person to get in, NO BEER OR FOOD included, but a pint glass is. Drink tickets are $5 each or 8 for $35. I personally don't care about anything there but the Short's beers i haven't had yet, but i still must pay to get in. Anyone else going? Thoughts,,,, http://diningindetroit.blogspot.com/2013/10/news-bites-tickets-to-festivale-at-one.html
There was a a Lakeshore Brew fest at camp Blodgett near my home in holland that I turned down because tickets were 35 dollars in advance and 45 at the door. it came with 8 drink tickets I believe and a glass.. that to me is absurd. when they're trying something new you would think organizers would do everything possible to keep the cost to get in down..
I want to go for the shorts beers, but that's a lot of cash for 5 beers. And pint glasses are no more then $2 with logo and all
You are paying for the entertainment as well, two of the bands there are national acts. I really want to go, and would gladly pay the price of the ticket, but I already have something going on that day I can't get out of.
30 pinball machines + the Shorts stuff means it's worth it to me. I get that it's a bit expensive, but given that pints of beer end up being $5 (if it's pints -- which is what it sounded like) when often times, those beers are going to cost a fair amount more, it doesn't bother me too much if I average it out. Plus, it's not like I'm into craft beer because I'm frugal. I like paying the best price I can, and I seek it out, but I also understand this is a luxury item, and sometimes, you have to pay more. As long as you can work it out with yourself (and you have the expendable income), it's all good.
