Per the pub's Twitter: "An old favorite has officially come out of retirement. Alpha Kong is now on tap at the pub." Would love to see another bottling. Amazing beer, and glad a whole host of junior tickers will get the opportunity to disparage it. Hopefully out of my earshot.
Saw on their Facebook post where someone asked if it was going to be bottled and Three Floyd's commented "No Bottles"........ Maybe leftovers from DLD? I have always wanted to try this beer. Not sure I want to make the 70 mile drive for it though.
Had a bottle within the last 6 months and was worried about it holding up...definitely boozy when it warmed, but for a decade year old beer, I was so happy and fortunate to get my hands on it. Highly recommend making the trip to try this, because it's been a highlight for me not only as a Floyds fanboy, but as a beer lover in general.
This is true. I have been ridiculed since for liking it, but the acetone is not present in this batch.
Shhhhhh....I need AKong to last until after work today! Glad to see the return of the vintage beers....Drunk Monk, Alpha Kong, etc...
