For anybody interested, bottles of RisGoop (Mikkeller collab barleywine brewed with rice) will be available in bottles next week at the FFF pub. It's a dramatic improvement from last year's BooGoop (brewed by Mikkeller - surprise!) and will likely not go into distribution like the last -Goop beer brewed at FFF, Ruggoop.

It was on tap today at the pub: medium-bodied, huge juicy hops. Not at all like a barleywine, more like an imperial version of BrooDoo. Delicious.

Had a couple last night at the pub. Good, but definately will not be purchasing any bottles. Hvedegoop was by far my fav collaboration with the Mikkeller crew.

Had a snifter today as well. Agree with Nate--big hops on the nose and the tongue. More like an IIPA. Very tasty. The alcohol is very well hidden too.

Ha, FFF beer that is more like a IIPA? Noooo?

Is this next week as in Monday the 6th or Monday the 13th?

Served last night in a Libbey style "teardrop" goblet, not a snifter... Who cares I suppose?

Sorry, my thread title was a little vague - Monday the 6th. I'd expect a tweet about it from @3floydspub Tues-Wed.

Wow, a comparison to BrooDoo was the last thing I was expecting. Sounds delicious. Those Libbey style teardrop goblets are what FFF considers snifters. They serve APW in those glasses as well as other brews.

Those that have been paying attention this summer probably have an idea when to pay closer attention to Twitter...

Whats the significance of the 'goop? So this will be under FFF distribution?

This is a continuation of the Mikkeller/FFF series of strong ales: Oatgoop, Hvedgoop (wheat), Ruggoop (rye), Boogoop (buckwheat - brewed by Mikkeller), and now Risgoop (rice).

Based on the last one brewed at FFF, Ruggoop, I wouldn't expect to see this distributed beyond the merch desk at the pub.

Do you think this will still be on tap later today?
