Fiddlehead cans

Hey, Tom . . . looks like they did a brewery-only can release a couple Saturdays ago, their Twitter says they'll can again in July.

 

Yeah was like the 21st or so.. I wouldn't plan any trips based on info on their website.. They initially posted the 18th for can release.. planned a trip thru Vermont for that timeline.. got there only to have them change it to after I was leaving the area...Not happy about that but oh well.

 

Not always brewery only but maybe this is something you should ask in the New England forum.

 

They are doing another canning run of Second Fiddle DIPA. They'll have cans of that for sale starting at noon on July 10 at brewery. Probably be in stores around that same time.

If you're looking for Fiddlehead IPA, then that's still growler only. They've only been canning Second Fiddle and Hodad, however, they are planning on canning more offerings as they brew them.

 

They had a couple cases of Hodad left at noon today.

 

Thinking about taking the ride up from nj on thur for the second fiddle. Does anyone know how much you are able to buy? Would be kind of silly to drive 6 hours for a four pack.

They've never sold out in a day, same story for their Bba sap beer. I think it'll be around for a few days.

 

And I'm quite sure Fiddlehead makes much larger batches than the big three.

 

Also, you can drive over to the usual beer stores and pick up more Second Fiddle. I think the Winooski Beverage opens before the brewery does and that's where I grabbed Hodad at before they even released it at the brewery. I think they send out their cans for distribution on Wednesdays/Thurs morning before brewery opens. I was able to find 2nd Fiddle still on shelves at my grocery store 2 weeks after the last canning run.

 

Any chances any places are far down as ludlow area would have any cans of this?

 

I wouldn't expect so, but I'm not sure how far they distribute. Ludlow is a bit far from Shelburne. I think they use Farrell for distribution, so there's a chance for wider distribution but at the volume they're making (and only canning every 2-3 weeks) I'd only assume Greater Burlington, Shelburne, and Waterbury areas. You could probably call the brewery and ask.

 

Thanks, ill give them a call. Was just trying to score a few things in VT while im there for the weekend without going too far out of the way, since im not driving.

 

Canning started this morning so the earliest I'd expect to see it in stores is Friday.

 

No line as of 1230 and I saw atleast one 15 foot tall stack of unfilled cans.

 

BTW, I asked today and Mastermind will not be seen until Fall. They use Galaxy hops that come from Australia and they are waiting on them. @jamesewelch .

 

Can't wait to get some of this next Thursday.
