Any chance this lasts to Sunday or even through the weekend, perhaps? I have no idea how much they have available for these releases or how fast it can go. Staying in Waitsfield for a week but have a wedding on the 18th keeping me from the other fun stuff.

Welp, I won't make this release but this is a beer I really wanted last year. FT Julius + Alter Ego....ISO Mastermind.

We have pretty limited info, but i would say no. It will be easier to make an educated guess when there is more info, but it will probably all be gone saturday. The first second fiddle release in the fall was also the same day as a alchemist truck sale, fiddlehead went through all of their cases pretty fast that day. The mastermind release is the same weekend as the VT brewers fest, which means a whole lot of beer tourists will be very close to fiddlehead. Plus this beer has gained some hype in my opinion during its time off, plus its the first release of the year. I have a feeing fiddlehead will underestimate the amount of people that will show up.

Anyone going to it that wants to grab me a case, I will reciprocate with full reimbursement and atreehouse cans or nebco cans. I'm staying on Champlain the following weekend. Can meet anywhere anytime the next Saturday the 24th

It was released in cans 5 or 6 times last year between mid july to mid november. This will be the first release since 11/19/14. With any luck it will be released a similar amount of times as it was last year, though I suspect it will go quicker as its not flying under the hype radar anymore.

No joke, I would bathe in Mastermind. Based on how good it is - I think it's the most underrated IPA made in New England (I know people love it, but honestly, it's sooo good, it should be a f*cking national holiday when it's canned, hahaha).

Agreed. I got three four packs of MM last fall, and really didn't care for the beer. Shared them with several others, and none of them cared for it either. Two were from the brewery (no line, no issues at all) and one from Craft Beer Cellar in Waterbury.

Mastermind was the best beer I had in 2014.

Couldn't agree more. If I'm able to get up there I'll bring a few to Woburn

In November it was 2-3 cases per person. Not sure if he will adjust that downwards this weekend given the anticipated crowds.

understandble. I hope that ends up being true. just had a lot of weddings or sat stuff this summer, keep missing all the cool stuff. me and my buddies are planning a trip. I'm sure we'll make it to one. just wasn't sure with the layoff if they were making it less or if that was the norm.

Think it really depends if they were able to fill one of their 90bbl fermenters with it or one of their smaller fermenters. If it's 90bbl tank, I'd say you're good...but my guess it would be a 60bbl or smaller tank considering he was have trouble sourcing the hops and filling a 90bbl tank would mean it would take like 5-6 batches...but ultimately I have no clue

Just saw that Beverage Warehouse in Winooski will open at 9:30am that morning in anticipation of large crowds. I might be leaving Boston at 2am....

I think (emphasize "think") they use the 90bbl, because when I was there in November there were TONS of cases filled and the canning line was pumping out more as we watched.

I've tried every weekly batch of Mastermind and I've never seen such variation (color, carbonation, taste in a single Beer. I don't mean that in a bad way as its one of my absolute favorites.
