Sarene posted a photo saying it's hitting NYC, and Beer Table just posted. Is this going to be like Super Session and Sip, and be a regularly scheduled thing now?

Both references the Phish shows, so not sure if its promo with the concerts?

Is SoS going to be regular now? That would be awesome if yes!

Anyone try yet? I got a 4 pack and it isn't what I remember it being... maybe I've just been spoiled in the year or so since I last had it.

Yeah, it had a lot more clarity (not a bad thing, just different) and much more maltiness than I recall from previous times I've had it (or, perhaps, just a more reserved hoppiness).

I still very much enjoyed it but I remember when it was speculated as being basically the same recipe as Double Sunshine. I don't think that's very accurate based on my recollection of Double Sunshine (one of the best beer experiences I've had).

Last time I was at beer table, the manager tried to sell me a bottle of 50/50 eclipse for $52 telling me that was the lowest the could sell the beer at their margin and "I wouldn't find it cheaper anywhere else in the city" I laughed and walked out.

Plenty of other shops will have it in the coming days.

This should hopefully be coming down with more regularity. They've been signed on with Sarene for a while but haven't sent anything down until now.

By their standards that's a steal at only 75% over every other store. Straight double is their sweet spot

Been fortunate to have had a good amount of Second Fiddle over the last few weeks, and have to say it is still outstanding. I felt it did have a better flavor when poured in a glass as opposed to out of the can. It does actually remind me a little bit of the OG Double Sunshine both in color and flavor, and is markedly better than Sip or the recent batches Double Sunshine IMO. On knock is it does not have the shelf life it used to, I would not let it sit around for more than 4 weeks at which it turns a bit malty and boozy.

Any guesses what the beers will be? Their flagship IPA I assume? Any chance we get Second Fiddle or Mastermind at some point?

Apologies for my lack of clarity. I was actually referring to Sip of Sunshine.

Appreciate the clarification, and I'll still stick to my statement. Personally I don't think it looks at all like Sip, Sip is clear as day while the SF I had was a nice burnt orange hue (and cloudy) much like Double Sunshine was back in the day.

Second Fiddle is what's around. The 4 pk I have is dated 7/10. Definitely a bit disappointed in the taste though...

Oh wow, that's awesome (that it's SF, not that you're disappointed lol)!

A coworker felt the same way. I'm curious what people here think.

I grabbed a Second Fiddle from Beer Table yesterday and thought it was good but not great. I thought the cans of Sip I've picked up in NY over the last few weeks were better for sure. But maybe not entirely fair as I did drink Second Fiddle straight from the can.
