I'm drinking one now, and if you're not looking for a turbid NEIPA, then this is perfect. I've had one before, a few years ago, but if I had a comparison I would say this is comparable to SingleCut SSMS. So easy to drink.

WTF, the cans from B&H are not right (dated 7/10). Would assume maybe this was a bad batch. I opened 2 cans of a 4pack dated 7/10 (from B&H), and one I had from 6/27. There is a stark difference in taste, and I poured out the ones from 7/10 purchased today. The 7/10 cans were muted, bitter, and had an odd aftertaste while the 6/27 can has a great nose out of the gate and is bursting with hoppy goodness.

Not sure if it was the transport in the heat, bad storage for a day or so, but these cans are not representative of this fine beer. Very sad as I was looking forward to filling up on these over the next week. Now I will just be sad when the other delicious can I had from before if gone.

I think I have to agree with your assessment of these 7/10 cans. Somewhat relieved to read that the 6/27 batch might be more of what I remember SF being.

I was on the verge of worrying that I needed to reassess what I considered to be my personal gold standard of hoppy beers (the northern VT legends).

Lawsons, Fiddlehead. Hill Farmstead all in NYC now..crazy that one of these breweries would be here, let alone all 3 ..it really is a great time to be a beer drinker in the BIG APPLE!

disappointed to hear this.... I bought cans there with the same date, haven't cracked one yet... unfortunately I've never had the beer before so I won't really have a frame of reference to compare it to....

It was still very tasty and worthwhile! My reference point might just be off since I've been ODing on Other Half beers recently.

Thanks for the tips on the dates, folks. I just may see what Beer Table WTC has after work, and pay their "service fee" if it's the 'good' one.

Ok, glad I wasn't the only one! Granted it had been a while, but I knew they tasted better than that...

Well, found out from two Vermont sources, Fiddlehead is a one time thing for the Phish concerts as had been rumored. Possibility of them coming to NYC more permanently is out there, but not yet.

This is what I thought/expected but I talked to a shop owner this past week and he said the exact opposite. He said Second Fiddle won't be as common, but they'll be sending other stuff down regularly. "Regularly" can be completely open for interpretation, however. Guess we'll see

I have to reinforce the bad batch theory. Picked up a can at Astoria Bier and Cheese and it was only about 4/5 full. Not very tasty either.

I enjoyed sip of sunshine a lot more than I remember it. While second fiddle let me down. Either way, love that we are getting them now.

Me as well. My first impression of SoS was very underwhelming, but I really enjoyed it this time around. Glad it's getting distribution especially at $16!
