I think fiddleheads brewery in vt has one of the best most drinkable ipas out there
    anyone else think this?

Pretty awesome. And you don't have to drive ten miles down a dirt road where it is only available on the first and third Tuesday of the month between 3 and 6:30 in a growler fill- brown, liter bottle only- two per person- not that there is anything wrong with that.

My father and I both thought the IPA was not very good and we both love IPA's (the only other beer on tap that day was the witbier, which was decent). Its been over a year ago since we stopped in so maybe it has changed since then?

It has, he has evolved the recipe quite a bit and I would consider it scores different than it was.

Yep. Even though it gets a pretty decent rating on here, I still think it's underrated. I first tried it at Jay Peak last winter. I came in for lunch after skiing trees all morning, exhausted, and man it tasted good. It wowed me and I sucked 2 down in no time.

I had this last week when visiting VT and I enjoyed it quite a bit. It's not going to blast your face off with a huge tropical fruit hoppiness, which I feel is what a lot of people are looking for in an IPA these days, but I thought it was undoubtedly a well-crafted beer.

For the first like 6 months the brewery was opened the IPA was amazing; on par with anything the big 3 is putting out. Now it is just pretty good imo.

great everyday IPA imo, lotsa grapefruit...their iipa's have been getting consistently better as well.

I had a sample at the brewery last weekend and even then that batch tasted radically different than the Fiddlehead I had last month which was very different than what they brewed a year ago. There's a lot more hoppy aroma and "dankiness" (is that a word?) to the beer now. It's much better than it was even a few months ago. I only wish I would have gotten a growler of the IPA when I was there. Instead, I got a couple growlers of Hodad, which was very nice as well

I went about 5 weeks ago when they had IPA, Golden Grillz, and an ESB on tap. I liked the IPA the most of that bunch, but not enough to get a growl of it. (Bought some swag and left a nice tip for the sample pours.) I did like the vibe there and the staff was friendly and pretty knowledgeable, which I appreciated.

I'm a big fan of their IPAs and IIPAs...they've improved a lot since they opened. I can't remember the exact name, but one of their IIPAs was right up there with the big 3 IPAs. And I thought their Ryezome (brewed a few months ago -- not sure if we'll see it again) was great too.

Grabbed a growler of their second fiddle IIPA around VT fest time and it was spectacular. Literally up there with the heady and double sunshine we brought home with us. I also really enjoy their normal IPA. Relatively inexpensive, widely available, and super-drinkable

ps....we went last year after they opened and neither my wife and I were super-impressed with their IPA at the time. It has definitely evolved.

Had it last week while in Vermont but I have to agree with cpjtr above-the Hodad was pretty incredible! Love their concept of being attached to the pizza place....

Hodad at SIPtemberfest was my "dessert beer" of the session. Pure Almond Joy!

It's a great deal for $10 per growler.

Can't touch the big three for taste though.
