I agree! am really feeling this online thing...no waiting in obscene lines/ dealing with huge crowds...I can go in and pick up at my leisure...that is so cool...

I just ordered up some Super Saint Thomas and Pulp! So excited! LOL!

Super Saint Thomas has only been canned once correct? I know I bought one canning of it and thought it was too damn boozy. Hope they fixed that for this release.

Twice. The first one was completely amazing, maybe the best hazebro they ever made. You had the second one, a year ago. If you can go back to this period in last year's FW thread, you'll see many people, myself included, remarking how it wasn't nearly as good. It was noticeably boozy (as you state), and it also was minimally hazy. What do we get this year?

edit: you mention canned - not sure if the first one was canned

There were cans in 2017 too. (I think it was the standard white label back then.) 2018 was the current label

Grabbed a case of Pulp because I'm heading to Hawaii next week and wanted to drink some good beers out there. I love the new online ordering, headed in to Berkeley and grabbed my cans and a pint of Full Kilt, no fuss, really awesome. How's everyone feel about this batch of Pulp? The two cans I've had so far are good but are lacking the "wow" factor I remember Pulp having. Looking forward to trying SST!

SST is a nice big imperial Mosaic IPA - not an NEIPA though even with the hazy appearance; more like a modern take with low/mid bitterness.

Eliza is pretty luscious and fantastic. High on the sweet side, like a sugar & creamed up N.O. coffee treat. Can't wait for the next BA release of it.

Definitely digging this batch of SST. Hides ABV very well. This batch of Pulp isn't 'popping' like the last couple. No complaints though, online can presale rocks.

What’s up with them storing cans at room temperature? Picked up cans on Saturday at the San Ramon location and the cans were outside and my cans were warm. Not a huge deal, but I would have thought a brewery would not want their cans getting warm

They're cold when they set 'em all out there in the morning. They were still cold around 1pm except for that Father of the Wolf stout. But ya all those cases just sit outside there so they're just warming up all day.

Impressed with SST! For 9.6% ABV, the IBUs seem pretty low...and there is a lower than expected boozy kick that I'm digging. The booziness eventually dissipates into a bitter hop finish that lingers a bit on the palate. Good stuff!

I picked up at 12ish and they were pretty warm. If I was going to drink a can I would have needed to have put it into a fridge for a bit.
Not the biggest deal, this was my first pick up since I’m from so cal, so I would have assumed they would keep them cold.

Yeah, the stacking outside the fridge makes more sense when the release is taproom only and lines are expected to clear out most of the stock beginning at opening. With the online sales it would make more sense to keep them cold until people ask for their allotment, since it could happen over a few days.

A little FYI. This Sat (5/12) there's an event blocking off Capitol Ave on the block Fieldwork is in (you can go in but can't drive through or park right in front). It's called Dress Up Wine Down. It's a fashion show / wine tasting benefiting WEAVE, and I'll be pouring my wines at my table. 6-8 pm. I'll be at FW before/after this so say hi to the Drava guy. And have some wines too!

Pretty awesome that they're selling a barrel aged pastry stout for about a 3rd of what they go for in SD or OC.
