What about those who couldn't make the noon - noon:15 purchase window, but had banked on just showing up after work to purchase cans, line or no?

This is not about you or me. It's about communication and resulting expectation.

I'd say there's no guarantee you would've been able to get cans in line either. It seems they were communicating on the issue, it just didn't have the result you'd anticipated, which is fair, but issues come up every now and then and not everybody's going to be pleased.

We understand the point about communication. Mistakes were made with allocation. They apologized right away on IG and FB. Hopefully they learned from it.

BUT......Just showed up after work today?

With the high demand for DDH PULP and PB5000, even if they had limited in person cans for purchase today, people would have had to start lining up at 11am at least an hour before open today. You can also bet that they would have had more people in line then limited cans avaiable. Then shitshow.

They actually probably saved themselves a bigger mess....lol... Think Thanksgiving 2016.

Well if anybody wants to trade DDH Pulp for some MT Unlike Birds This is Real or GN Return To Space 1:1, hit me up lol. On my way home from the Northwest, so while I wasn't able to get any of the FW stuff, at least I'm not empty handed lol

Only had a draft taster of DDH Pulp B2 so far. No cans yet.

Really good. Maybe a little green right now. But not possible to match the greatness of Batch 1...lol

DDH Pulp is really good but perhaps not as mind-blowing as Batch 1. Powerbatch 5000 is an explosion of hop flavor and booze. Haven't had a can yet, but on draft I thought it was a little over-the-top. Some might dig that, however.

PB5K had some noticeable diesel notes along with maybe a hint of citrus and stone fruit. Not bad. I was fine with just the taster pour. Tried a taster of East Bay Confidential but wasn’t too impressed.

They immediately posted their reasoning online for doing so (lots of computer technical difficulties from about 12:00-12:15) and profusely apologize for basically everything. I feel like they came out right away (12:30) when everything sold out and were very up front about what all happened. Of course you're completely welcome to continue to hold it against them after that.

It seems to me that they likely sold out of everything they allocated for online sales during 12:00-12:15 when the site was completely jacked up for anyone who wanted to pickup in Sacramento, San Mateo, or San Ramon. So when those locations finally worked they decided to re-allocate the stand-in-line cans (which is lame as fuck anyway and what we're trying to get away from) to appease the online demand, obviously a better move.

I realize my perspective may be different from most as I was unable to enjoy and review the first batch of DDH Pulp from this year, but....this is fantastic!!!

Wonderfully, soft on the palate...great depth and feel for a single and so crushable at 6.9% ABV...So glad I bought 8 cans! Haha!

Anyone else get an email that they don't have enough labels for Powerbatch so the pickup may be delayed? I asked when but no response yet. Problem is, I'm only going to be in town for a couple days and was relying on the pick up window. Hope it works out but we'll see in the next day or two.

Impressed with this one! This was way better out of the can than it was on tap IMO. On tap, I really noticed the booziness.

Out of the can, it was more subdued...because of that, I was able to more appreciate the soft-on-the-palate mouthfeel...and the citrus-bitter finish with subdued dankness and faint hop burn. Hides the 9.5% ABV almost too well...Good stuff!

    Dayum. It's 9.5%? I didn't realize that when I bought it LOL.

    I'll find out tomorrow!

Will have to stop back for my PB5000 cans, but digging the Simcokomo while waiting for a crowler of St Thomas. Anybody crack a Bad Conduct can yet? Wondering if I need to grab a couple more, Sac still has cans for sale, to take with me to FWIBF...

I wish I would've seen this before driving down to San Mateo from SF. Got there, and they just told me the same thing, but I never received an email. I wonder if I should just cancel it

So much this. I didn't realize it was 9.5% either (totally my fault) until I was looking at the can after I cracked it. This is a dangerous 9.5% beer because I thought it was absolutely delicious. This with DDHP has been one of the best FW can releases for me in a while. For a 50BBL batch, DDHP is seriously on point. Good job FW!

Wait a minute, you went down to fieldwork and they didn't have the cans you ordered? So they expect you to drive down again to pick up the cans they were supposed to be there? Not sure what to think about that. My brother had ordered cans from the previous release and they couldn't fill it, ended up giving a refund, but gave some compensation. Same thing happened to a guy from this past release I was in line with, got his order cancelled. I mean this was supposed to be easier with this online ordering but San Mateo still had a line at opening. I showed up Friday just in case something like what happened with you, showing up and not having my cans/order, happened. I've been waiting till after the weekend in previous releases but may have to stick with release day regardless.
