Ruh roh, looks like there's more than just online issues now that there aren't going to be ANY cans this weekend (see update to Fieldwork's IG post above). Earlier they mentioned Pulp didn't even make it into kegs yet either, hence the dropped hashtag :flushed:. :slight_frown:

Damn, I assumed Pulp would at least make it to draft like Galaxy Sauce and be available for crowlers. Which, let's face it, is basically the same as cans since they never last more than a couple days in my house lol

Has anyone else had the new batch of Galaxy Sauce? This is my favorite semi-reg beer of theirs and this batch comes across as quite a bit different than all the other ones. Pronounced lemon zest / pine sol nose. I wouldn't guess this was Galaxy hopped.

We need to see some Fieldwork beer in Australia. Can I suggest someone from Fieldwork get in touch with Brewski in Brisbane, or vice versa, and we can hopefully get to sample a few great beers at Brewsvegas next year. I'll be the first to sign up!

I had a taster of it yesterday; did my best to keep it out of the sun but I agree. Wasn't on-profile for me at all, nor as tasty I as I expect.

Green Rest was the best thing I had, with an honorable mention for Blackberry Parfait.

I had the Powerbatch also, and it reminded me quite a bit of King Citra. While this GS is very good in it's own right, it just isn't itself. I had a glass at the brewery, a growler the next day (last Saturday), and I have another growler I'll polish off this weekend. Would like to hear a few more opinions.

Sorry been out of touch with Fieldworks can releases the last month. Are these guys still doing the online sales? Or has that been put on hold for now?

There hasn't been any can releases or online can sales since the DDH Pulp/Powerbatch 5000/Bad Conduct release a month ago. I'm guessing but hoping it's not an issue with their canning line, since they weren't able to can the Rainbow Parfait then or any of the other beers for their subsequent attempted release.

Yeah they didn't can the Galaxy Sauce either. That's usually a hot item.

Late notice of a can release this evening, and damn if it isn't some Galaxy Juice (along with a new hazy DIPA and Vanillaberry sour). No online ordering yet either. Hope they canned enough to last thru tomorrow.

Future So Bright is one of the best Fieldwork beers I've ever had, and that's saying a lot. Better than Pulp and even Eastside Motel. Not quite at Super St. Thomas level, but that's probably a minority opinion.

Also, Vanillaberry shows how good one of these fruited alcoholic beverages (can't bring myself to call them beers) can be without lactose.

FSB is indeed a wonderful beer, and right in FW's wheelhouse. I also greatly enjoyed (and am currently enjoying) the new Galaxy Juice. This time, the GJ is better than the Galaxy Sauce a few weeks ago.

which begs the question, why was the recent Galaxy Sauce batch kinda bad?

Grabbed a growlette of the new Pulp batch, tasted a bit green.

Got some family stuff to do in the South Bay tomorrow and was thinking of attending the can release in San Mateo. How have they typically been? Is arriving at 10:30am too late?
