Was thinking the same thing. Wonder if they bought some and brought it down. I wonder how much the cans were.

I would assume they bought it and brought it down, unless this was a 1 time thing. The whole point of their multiple taprooms spread around the Bay Area is to avoid distribution and they have minimal capacity to begin with.

I actually heard bottlecraft would be getting cans every 6 weeks or so, but who knows how accurate that is.

Bottlecraft has Fieldwork on tap every now and then, they had Pulp on when I bought these cans. The Bottlecraft employee said they do not get cans regularly and that the few cases came down with the keg(s). I paid around $6 per can and would happily do it again if and when they receive more Pulp cans.

    Cheers,

I’ve had and enjoyed Pulp at the Berkeley and Monterey locations. I think King Citra is even more amazing. Fingers crossed it’ll be released in cans soon. Would be worth a MRY visit.

I think that Galaxy Sauce has been much more consistent recently…so I'm very happy to hear that it's being canned this week!

If FW is canning today, would those cans be available same day or is there a day or two before they are available? Just happened to be near the SM location on a trip and was wondering if I might luck out on cans, lol.

Well, one of the hashtags on all 3 of the can release posts is #onlinepresale, so these will likely be available online later today for pickup later (maybe tomorrow, but likely Friday like the last one).

It looks like they are canning and possibly releasing today in Berkeley. But you have to wait for the online can release buying info for all the other locations. Follow their IG today.

Anyone else get the “sad game show horns” e-mail saying they can’t fulfill orders for Saint Martin because of a glitch on the website? Apparently they sold too many.

I ordered a single can at 3:40pm. Just got the email at 5:31pm.

Anyone else think that this batch of Galaxy Sauce was on the green side?

On the other hand, the top-secret Double Emeralds is their best DIPA in ages (IMO).

Fieldwork sent out an email to anyone who wants a refund for galaxy sauce, they are able to if they weren’t satisfied. Good for you fieldwork, regardless if it was or wasn’t good, they are listening to their customers feedback.

wow.......GS is my favorite FW beer. I didn't pick any up this time because I'm taking it easy until Christmas/NY, but I'd normally buy my can limit and get growlers filled. Curious what the story is, and how people perceive it.

A quick look on social media and that other beer rating website and you’ll see what people are saying. But basically people are saying it wasn’t the same batch, some were going further than that. Regardless of what it was, fieldwork is listening and in my opinion, doing the right thing. Hopefully this doesn’t lead down a slippery slope of where people complain just to complain but most people in this craft beer business, consumers and breweries, are straightforward people who get it. I personally think it was different than previous batches but overall pleased with the beer. Was it galaxy sauce? Maybe but something was off. No ones perfect so there’s that.
