I had a couple friends who went. One was about 8 people back in line when they ran out of cans. The exact situation that makes me never want to wait in lines now that some places let you buy online and pick up whenever.

Also a limit of 6 cans would also make me skip it, though I do bet it's a great version of pulp.

Sacramento line was low key and moved fairly fast. But I think the low number of Pulp cans they posted on FB may have turned people away from even coming out.

    So... how is DDH Pulp?

Wondering the same thing. Also, go Wildcats. Just saw your profile pic. You a K-State alum?

I had 3 friends hit up the San Ramon location and they said it was awesome on draft. They didn't bother with trying to get cans though.

Awesome! No, I'm not. My father in-law is, though. He is an avid K-State fan. Being around him a lot made me partial to K-State.

Picked up a DDH Pulp crowler yesterday from San Ramon to help get through the Snoozer Bowl - yes, it was some absolutely amazing stuff. One of the best single hazies around here - feel was the perfect creamy & smooth. Definitely go pick some up immediately if you can.

I want to second this. One of the best single (Citra) IPAs I have had. It was fantastic. Nose was there, full citra hops on first taste. Mouthfeel was right on for the style. I would put this batch of DDH Pulp up against any single IPA from SoCAL right now.

Got to the Sac Taproom Mid afternoon on Saturday. Had DDH Pulp and Vikings Lament (which was great also).

Crowler of DDH Pulp to go for Sunday.

I am for sure going back for another crowler of DDH Pulp while it is still on.

So Darwin dropped his take on King Citra. I've not had the December 2018 batch, but someone here said they thought it was boozy compared to previous batches.

    What'd you guys think?

Gonna have to agree on that statement alone. It was probably the closest thing (if not better) than any Moonraker and Monkish hazy I’ve had. The way it looks in a glass. The mouthfeel. The low bitterness. Really really well done if you’re a fan of hazy IPA’s.

DDH Pulp was fantastic. Had on tap at Toronado on Saturday. Smooth, citrus-y, no bitterness. One of the best Fieldwork IPAs I've had.

Well, I have a pack of Professor's Patent if anybody wants to make a trade:hugging:
I was in Berkeley today for a meeting with Kaiser, so I decided to stop in at opening with my trusty growler hoping for a fill...and the entire batch has already kicked.

While I quite enjoyed the DDH Pulp I had on draft, I will be the exception (thus far in this thread) and say that the last canned batch of Pulp was better for my palate and preferences. I do have a growler to sample again this weekend, so that may (doubtfully) change.

Yea I was the one who said the Christmas batch was boozy (burn is correct as well from that vid). I think we share a common beer buddy who was also let down by this batch. I think I met you at cellarmaker last year.

Ddh pulp is very good, I was lucky enough to trade for 2 cans locally.

Yea, that was a bummer how quickly it kicked. Oh well, guess I'll wait until it's back.

Considering it's by far their highest rated hoppy beer on untapped, I hope they add it to the rotation at least a couple times a year!

Those 247 ratings sound promising. I was at a tasting with Alex a few years back when he said they would never release a DDH beer, kinda like when Fieldwork started and he said they would never do a DIPA. I think your right about it coming back .

Just chiming in quick to say that Clear of a Dank Planet is a great zesty, juicy West Coast DIPA for those who still care, easily and absolutely recommended.

Yeah, this is a throwback to the first double IPAs I ever had at fieldwork a few years back. Delicious.
