Berkeley line was only 10 people before they opened (15 mins early). Would think cans should make it into afternoon, easy

I just left and there was only the short line at the register. I'd expect some kind of lunch rush but if you miss out on cans, you can always get crowlers.

Well crap. I'm gonna miss King Citra again unless they have c/growler fills. Spending my weekend in Anaheim.

What did everyone here think about the Saint Thomas cans?

On tap it was great. My first couple cans were also great. Then all of a sudden they weren't.

    Mind playing tricks on me?

Anyone open up a King Citra can recently? Drinking one right now and it's a delight to drink. Very mango-forward right now.

Just got an email from Fieldwork. Looks like they will be doing can releases of Hazy Train, Vikings Lament, BA Eliza, Imperial Hot Chocolate (love that beer), Tundra and Cocoanut during SF Beer Week. The email also made it sound like they might release a few brand new beers.

Darn! Was hoping they would release Serac for SF Beer Week.

Had BA Eliza last year and I wasn't too big of a fan. There was a funny taste in it but I couldn't put my finger on what it actually was.

Is chicory a thing in NOLA coffee? Maybe that's what it was.

They clearly want all your money.

Wasn't the chicory because I'm fine with regular Eliza and NOLA coffee in general. Maybe something from the barrel they aged it in.

Yeah, some people didn't like that, I think they did it in bourbon, then wine barrels. I think this year, they are not doing wine, just straight up bourbon barrels.....

Winner winner chicken dinner! Soon as you said that the light went on in my head. I do remember reading it was aged in wine barrels.

Stopped by the taproom around 1:30 and picked up my two cans - $7 a piece in case any one was interested.

Dropped by Fieldwork to pick up two cans of Bad Conduct. The maple really comes through in the aroma with the chocolate and vanilla adding some depth to the profile. The taste is quite good but definitely on the sweeter side. The mouthfeel isn't as thick as you might expect (still quite chewy) but it was well worth the 25 minute drive. First beer from Fieldwork -- if they were closer I'm sure I'd become a regular.
