Finally got to try Young Murks, really nice combo of bitterness and juiciness.

But man... Virtual Planetoid... Such a great beer. Really needs to be in constant can release rotation.

Will crack my Citadel of Trials this weekend.

Had a can of Citadels last night. I really dug it. Had a nice mouthfeel from the Belgian malt and awesome bite from the hops. Hit up Berkeley last night too. One beer that really blew me away was Fair Play, their English IPA. It was definitely a Fieldwork take on the style but man was that tasty. I love the hop forward beers as much as the next guy but it was really great to taste a more “balanced” beer from FW. Sweetness of the malt playing perfectly with the hops. Good stuff.

Popped open my 2 week old crowler of Hazy Train for yesterday’s afternoon drink session. Crazy delicious from first pour to last. My favorite so far of the 3 FW crowlers. One to go > Destination Unknown.

ive had all of those this past weekend for the exception of Sensee Party. Pulp was the WINNER for me. Pulp was So Juicy & Lite. Aroma was Vibrant and Delicious.

Sensee Party was way too murky and dank for me. Maybe one that you need to drink sooner than later.

    Another Curve Ball from Fieldwork....

Jude the Obscure OLD ALE ????? Do I need a bottle opener to drink this??? I think they debuted this back at the Toronado Barleywine Fest.

I’m wondering how Pulp Light will differ from Pulp and Li’l Pulp.

Okay, I opened my 4th and last FW crowler yesterday > Destination Unknown. I thought Hazy Train was Crazy. No. Destination Unknown was even better tasting. Period.

I'm pretty excited about the old ale, especially since there's no extra shit in there. Hopefully the lack of adjuncts means folks won't line up.

lol great explanation, wonder how its different. i really liked lil pulp and was excited until than. hopefully they dont fuck it up and make it a west coast light pale

i was hoping it was a different batch as it sounds like jude didnt fair well at toronado bwine fest, hopefully out of the bottles its better? kinda hard to fix "tired old ipa" and i see reviewers using medicinal, yikes! fingers crossed

Damn, I just looked at the untappd reviews and it's not looking good. No old ale should ever taste medicinal. To be honest, I haven't really been that excited about Fieldwork's strong ales so I was hoping this would be among the better that I've tasted. Hopefully they'll have it on tap so I can try it first. It's kind of awkward asking for a splash only to tell the barkeep I'm not interested in a full pour or cans/bottles though.

I don't feel that way, and honestly their Berkeley location is the only place I've felt that awkward vibe. We're the customer afterall. My $0.02

Interesting the different experiences people can have at the same place. I've never gotten that feeling or had that experience in Berkely. They are generally pretty nice and accommodating, but then again I avoid the busy times like the plague. Usually I'm there on a weekday around lunch to have a couple tasters and get some work done on their WiFi lol

Well that was a little unexpected with Pulp Light. A LAGER. Wonder what the pricing will be?

Interesting release this week for sure...... a canned LAGER with a canned WC IPA with a Bottled Old Ale.

I’m pretty sure I had Stereotypical on tap before and thought it was meh. That spreadsheet’s starting to sound even more useful now @KevSal . Maybe I’ll get it started during winter break in between playing Yakuza Kiwami and refinishing my Klipsch Heresys.

I've definitely had it a couple times. I found it not dissimilar to Chisel, and yet I didn't like it nearly as much. I'd still give the new batch a try, though.
