That is funny. I was just thinking about when are they going to bring back PULP since they brought back Och St and a few others but no Pulp. I guess we have our answer.

I brought up this "can" topic with FW on another Forum in the Pacific section. I always wondered we they didn't add CANS to their tap room and bar distribution strategy.

They finally did it. I think this will be a good move for them.

Oh man... that's awesome but this may be the beginning of crazy hyped releases in the Bay Area. (Pliny the Younger aside)

Considering this will be available at all 3 tap rooms, I don't think we will see the crazy lines. Also most have had Pulp before. BUT....there already a few ISO:FT out there. People offering up some East Coast and San Diego cans.

I am usually by myself at the FW Sac Tap Room when I go at opening for growler fills before lunch on a weekday.

How are local Facebook groups reacting to the news of cans?

Just as long as we don't have Monkish sized lines it'll be ok.

I've never been to a Bay Area special release so I'm not too familiar with the culture, but I'd guess that having three locations will ease the pressure to line up if there's any tendency to do so.

The 2 big Sacramento groups (SBE & SBG) are excited, but many still don't realize how good Fieldwork is. They are still mostly just about the Sacramento and Moonraker releases. Cans always last a few days upon release. Just walk in.

The $20 price tag for 4 cans is also new in the Sacramento market. Most can releases from the Sac Breweries here are $15 for a 4 pack.

They posted that there will be 1500 cans of Pulp. Most will probably be in Berkeley I would guess, with a few hundred in Sac and Napa.

Now that there will also be a Fog Ripper can release, should be enough beer for everyone's holiday in NORCAL.

Heading to SF tomorrow so I might stop at Fieldwork before heading to Russian River. Worth the stop for these can releases? Not too familiar with their beer. I enjoy both juicy and dank ipa's but the Bad Conduct sounds pretty interesting.

Other than Pliny the Younger (which you won't find until February), Fieldwork is making better hoppy beers than Russian River. Partly because FW is making a crapton more different styles (NE, West-Coast, in-betweeners and experimental) vs. Blind Pig and Pliny the Elder. And partly because they're using combinations of classic hops and new school hops. Russian River is kinda stuck in the 90s.

But if you're into sours, RR has them down pat. (And if you're into sours, and going to Fieldwork, you may as well drop by The Rare Barrel since it's close by.)

Looks like 12 cans PP for the Pulp. 6 cans per person for the Bad conduct.
