They feared PULP wasn't enough to entice us, apparently…

6 can limit in Berkeley for Pulp....ouch...only 50 cases canned...im pretty sure they sold out of Pulp by now, the line was down the block and didnt stop for hours.

6 can limit for Raspberry Parfait. This is one
of,if not the best release of the parfait series...well balanced sweet/sour profile and no hints of that medicinal, almost nyquil like flavor some have had. This batch was just as good as the first batch I tried. A good friend mentioned this closely rivals the Jream series...which I havent been able to try yet. If its on tap tomorrow Im grabbing some crowlers for sure

12 Can limit on People Power.

The did a bad ass job on the labels though, great artwork... capturing 6 different historic sites of the Bay Area. The brew itself resembles pure pineapple juice, a beautiful hazy golden yellow with strong notes of tropical fruits. I taste a little guava, some mango, with a backbone of grapefruit pith and an underlying sweetness reminiscent of yellow Starburst candy mixed with Mango HI-Chews.

Extremely crushable on a hot day like today, toss a can in the freezer just long enough for it to develop ice chips in it...just short of being Icee like. I enjoyed mine in a mug that I left in the freezer as well...nice and frosty.

This is a solid release...a good hazy IPA with flavors distinct enough to separate it from the pack.. Simcoe-Mosaic-Amarillo and Loral make up the hop profile.

Great Job Fieldwork...Hope there is more left tomorrow....I'll be back

This batch of Pulp was great....althought Id love to let a couple cans age for a bit and try them later. I have a feeling these would develop nicely a bit over time and different flavor profiles would come through....If there was ever a Flagship veer for this brewery...This and King Citra would ve at the top of the list. But Wax,Orchard St and Overripe were DAMN good NEIPA's

Coconut Milk is one that aged so gracefully it was ridiculous...just a mobth or so down the line and that by far was one that developed even greater complexity and deeper notes of coconut like no other brew...cant wait till the 2019 batch is released...it was THAT good.

I happened to be in Monterey for this release. Solid batch of Pulp and of course I had to get one of each label for People Power to look at later. As JuiceBombJay said, it's not gonna be a problem to get through 6 of those. None are going to age, either.

For what it's worth, limits this time were 3× Pulp, 3× Parfait 6× People Power. I've heard that limits have been higher there if turnout is low but it seems like they get small shipments, so variance is high. No matter, it was a beautiful day to drink some Parfait and sit on Carmel beach.

(And load up on recent ASB releases, of course!)

So, do you San Mateo folks think they're selling these at noon but not pouring draft? Might be easier just to go to OG assuming it's for sale there, too.

I've been saving my bottles of Beware the Savage Jaw, but I heard nothing but good feedback about it. In for this.

Oh man, Pulp is tasting mighty fine right now a couple weeks in from the release. That beer is simply one of the best Bay Area IPAs.

I know this is the Fieldwork thread (so may be biased towards Fieldwork) but it seems to get the most traffic out of the breweries I'm considering. I'll be in Sacramento next Monday/Tuesday and may only have time to hit up one (maybe two) breweries. Was looking at Fieldwork, New Glory, Moksa and Moonraker. Primarily focused on taking cans/bottles home (and not just hanging out) and mostly drink NE IPA's and stouts. Would appreciate thoughts/recommendations.

Those are all good spots. Urban Roots would be another good one.

Most FW can releases don't last more than a day and are often on a Fri/Sat/Sun..but they do fill crowlers and you can order them online ahead of time. Moonraker cans are lasting longer, usually from a Fri into the following week, but no crowlers from them. Not sure on how long NG cans last, and I believe no crowlers. Can't comment on Moksa. Urban Roots will crowler most of their stuff.

You probably want to stick to 2 nearby breweries or ones easy to get to, and Sac can have some nasty traffic if you are on the freeways at certain times. I go to NG a lot, and their IPAs really go downhill fast in cans. There have been exceptions. And they do can crowlers. Their cans don't typically sell out in a day or 2, they last a bit longer.

    Moksa only crowlers some beers.

Moksa and Moonraker are in the same area, which isn't close to the midtown breweries. NG is in southeast Sac. I'd keep an eye out for Track 7 also, they are about half way between FW and NG.

For NE IPAs, your best bet is the FW Sacramento tap room on 18th/Capital in Downtown. It will be CROWLERS to go though as their cans don't last more then a day.

The Sacramento thread has been a bit dead lately, but some reviews of the breweries you mentioned there: https://www.beeradvocate.com/commun...urn-brewery-and-release-thread.447921/page-15

New Glory will have several cans as they last weeks at brewery and now get distro to most bottle shops and even Total Wine now. Only 10 minutes from Fieldwork (I-50)

Moksa is 30 minutes EAST of Sac in Rocklin (I-80). No cans. They will have crowlers of NE IPA. No Stout bottle releases this Mon/Tues. Several Stouts on draft though.

Moonraker is 45 minutes EAST of Sac in Auburn (I-80) They have 4 cans right now available. FYI, they are only open on Mon, closed Tuesday. They are releasing Atomic Betty NE DIPA on 8/1/18, but doubtful that popular one lasts until Monday 8/6.
