I definitely enjoyed Altered Yeast more than I expected. Hopefully they bring it back regularly, despite the gimmicky name!

Was really wanting to go to this release but wasn't able to. I'm glad to hear it was enjoyable. I wonder if my local FW still has any cans left. I was also wanting to try Orange Parfait.

Anyone have orange parfait? If so, how was it?
@ESB said Altered Yeast was good, any other thoughts?

Altered Yeast is a very orangey juicy hazy; it's named that because Fieldwork is apparently trying out a very expressive yeast strain to increase juiciness. I think they got it just right.

I'm drinking the Orange Parfait later this week, I gotta work up nerve to drink lactose stuff.

I had Orange Parfait on draft in August and thought it was as close to actual orange juice as a beer can get. I'm not a big OJ fan, so I didn't love it, but I do love some of the other parfaits.

FW commented that one is before Christmas and one is after Christmas. So yes, split up.

I'm all in on the sauce then, I haven't had a great Galaxy beer in awhile. KC is very good but slightly overrated imo

Maybe it's just me but Fieldworks version of Resilience is ridiculously good. Something about Fieldwork and charity beers I guess. Like pure mango juice. I don't know what the hell they did to the recipe but I'm pretty sure this isn't the beer Sierra planned haha.

Goes to show everyone's palates and preferences are different. I didn't particularly care for it, felt like a disconnected WC-NE hybrid for my palate. Pretty sure they dry hopped it with Southern Hemisphere hop varieties. I had a pour and still got a growlette fill (for the CampFire support aspect). While at home my wife took a sip from my glass, and hated it... then promptly went and got herself a SN Celebration. TETO, but props to FW for participating, even if I'm not crazy about their take on the recipe.

I hear you - it definitely has a unique love it or leave it flavor. I had it right after having the Alvarado Resilience and they were like two totally different beers, it was amazing.

I loved the FW Resilience as well, and as mentioned above it was likely due to the Southern Hemisphere hops they added in giving it that straight mango juice flavor. I bought 3 crowlers and brought is to a party and everybody had positive reviews, albeit to varying degrees. Myself and a couple of other NEIPA fans lived it while a couple more generic beer drinkers thought is was just pretty good. Regardless the 3 crowlers didn't last long lol.

I think the fact that Fieldwork added their own extra (hard to find) hops to a beer they were already donating 100% of the proceeds to was pretty cool.

    Hit Fieldwork Sacramento for lunch.

I think I like the Altered Yeast better then the FW Resilience

My favorite beer of the trip may have been the Old Love Lager....lol..

Surprised this thread has been dead during their last two holiday can releases. My thoughts are that this king citra batch is too boozy and not as good as previous batch. The Galaxy sauce is really good but also not as good as the batch I had last march. Familia estodo was a nice surprise , great IPA. I may crack a thunder god tonight.

I really liked Familia es Todo. Got a crowler of it last weekend since I got there too late for cans. Straight papaya juice. I thought the Galaxy Sauce on draft was pretty good, and that Thunder God was good too.

FYI on the San Ramon location, you need to get there within an hour of when they open if not sooner for can releases or else they might be all gone. I'm not sure if it's because of the holidays or just being in a new shopping complex, but the place is always packed completely out pretty early on the weekends.

On hyped releases like we had in December , all locations will sell out in a hour. You gotta line up early before they open to guarantee cans. A lot of people complained that they didn't produce enough but it's the basic fact that they have to split up a big batch of beer between six locations.

Anyone know when they tapped High Sea recently? I didn’t even know it was back until I saw that my friend had checked it in on Untappd. Couldn’t find anything on Fieldwork’s social media either.
