FiftyFifty Availability in South NJ/Philly

I was at Bella Vista Beer Distributors in Philly last weekend and they had cases of FiftyFifty sitting around, so it is definitely available in Philly. Not sure about NJ.

 

You would have to buy the whole case of 12(?) bombers at Bella Vista. I think the price was around ~240$? I cant remember exactly. They had Elijah Craig there amongst others - I thought about it for a split second but talked myself out of it rather easily.

 

beer distributors in pa are only allowed to sell by the case, no matter what format the bottle is in. you may find singles or six packs from bars/bottleshops that have a takeout license. this drives up the cost of singles and six packs in pa.

 

We should find 4 other NJ BA's to split a case of it. I'd certainly pay $20ish for 2 bottles of the EC and I know a few other guys that would too.

This was the first time 50/50 has been available in NJ. If a store was lucky enough they received 1 six bottle mixed case of six different Eclipse variants, no Pappy so dont even ask. It hit Christmas week and even with an upper $20 to low $30 price dont expect to find any without a ton of luck. My go to store sold out, well 6 bottles, in an hour or so.

 

Was just at The Craft Beer Outlet on Frankford Ave in Philly and they had a lot of bottles left @ 29.99 ($4 off on Wednesday's). Jersey distribution was pretty limited and most of it is already gone.

 

Ha yeah I was thinking the same thing. Don't think I could come up with enough people though, plus logistical issues, etc.

 

If a store was lucky they got 1 case. If the store also happens to be the home store of your Hunterdon salesman and he/she forgot to buy the bottle they wanted, the salesman made sure they were on the system as soon as any unsold beer went up for grabs on Friday afternoon and made sure another case showed up. In Jersey cases were mixed 6packs of Makers, High West Bourbon, Four Roses, Evan Williams, Elijiah 12, Buff Trace.

To the OP: Since you're in Delaware just drive to State Line Liquors in Elton, MD. They have the full lineup except for Pappy.

 

It's everywhere in Philly because of the high price tag. I have seen it as high as $38.

 

Wow, that's nearly at cost. I picked up the EC and MM in the burbs for $25 each and found that a great deal.

 

I just picked up a Four Roses at my local WF in the burbs but I'm looking for the MM version.

 

Yesterday these popped up in CMC. Canals in Rio Grande.

 

Yep, pretty much every reputable bottle shop gets it, and then it sits, sometimes for months. Beer Heaven, Hawthornes, various Fooderys, Local 44 all get it. I'm sure there are others that also get it.
