I haven't tried it yet, but yes it's in the wild. I bought some at a bottle shop in Sonoma county this weekend..

Is anyone else not too excited for the Kludde on Wood? Belgian Dark Strong Ale aged in Bourbon Barrels. I haven't been too excited for most of 50/50's Belgians. Stick to BA stouts, it's what they are "good" at.

$40 a pop for barrel aged stout is nuts.

Not defending their prices, but buying from Futures does make it cheaper. Also, they haven't had any infection issues and most of the stouts are good. Wouldn't make my top 10, but they do taste good.

anything exciting on tap at the brewery these days? Passing through tomorrow and again on Thursday. I used to always pop in but have been stopping less frequently.

Yeah I'm not very excited about that Belgian Strong. But hey, also a nice new piece of glassware to add to the collection!

Finally cracked my Cherry Angularity at a bottle share this weekend. Interesting, but ultimately, most including myself agreed it was meh.

I wasn't too impressed on draft. Out of the bottle wasn't much better. It is the first year of it, and hopefully they will work on what is available.

I'm hoping it is somewhat reminiscent of Track #8, in which case it'd be awesome.

I'm not going to pass judgement until I try it... I LOVED Coffee BART and Cognac Masterpiece.

Aling the same in excited lines as posts above, I'm not overly excited about renewing for next year.

Coffee and Cognac BART were both good but the rest has been pretty average.

I think calling it bad would be overstating it, but I can see why someone might not be super excited and wouldn't renew. Cherry Annularity was pretty meh on release, it might go somewhere interesting with time but I'd be surprised if it improved substantially. Coffee BART and Cognac Masterpiece were both great, the rest remains to be seen.

With only 6 exclusive bottles spread over 4 shipments, it doesn't build the same momentum as something where you get monthly allocations. I actually like the fact that Brewers Intent is much slower paced and doesn't take up much of my beer budget. It's all a matter of how it fits into your beer budget and how confident you are that FiftyFifty's non-Eclipse/non-BART experiments will be good.

Renewing is totally an individual decision but to say two were good and the rest were average might be going a bit far. Isn't there only 3 bottles so far? The "rest" is only Cherry Annularity which I agree was not as good as the others. Granted, renewals are coming up before half the bottles have been released (one is just coming out but many folk won't have tried it yet) so it's unfortunate that you only have half the bottles to base your renewal on.

Maybe a better way to say it is that none of the beers have been great. I doubt this new release will be (I don't really like big belgian beers so that is on me), so why pay $30/beer if it isn't great? Yes, I got a growler. Another growler on top of the 30 I already have. Hey if you are happy by all means renew, for me it's an easy choice, I'll pass next year and go with eclipse futures instead.
