Anyone know off-hand the FG of 1 lb of Sucrose fermented to completion in one gallon of 'wort'? I know it's something less than 1.000, but I don't have the math I need handy to figure this out.

I've wondered that same thing. I may ferment some to see what I get.

This reminds me of how Mr. Owl found out how many licks does it take to get to the center of a Tootsie Pop!

No need its 100% fermentable so you can just calculate it as 100% real attenuation

FWIW, I did some ‘ciphering’ and I was able to confirm Smw356’s value of around 0.990. My calculations yielded a FG just under 0.990.

The above analysis utilizes the assumption that sucrose is 100% fermentable and the Real Attenuation is 100%.

    Cheers!
