I got to try Caramel Salted BQE last night at a share (I got about 4oz of it)...holy hell what a stout. Thick as hell too. Best beer I had all night and I had some doozies.

Other Half announced Finback will be pouring BA Hawk and Whale at PastryTown so bottles should be coming soon.

Finally got some of the Finback up here.

Fat Peach from the new release, and the 3 Prior Jadda!, Collective Dreaming and Psycho Killer.

What did you guys think of these? In paticular Fat Peach, I kinda regret not getting Yellow Cake just to have tried, but those Lactose IPA's are just not my thing.

Absolutely fiending for Smooth Beats Miami to return. Should be just a few months now.

Fat peach tastes remarkably similar to smooth beats Miami. For some reason I get more coconut notes than I do peach. Check it out if you get a chance.

100% agree. I can taste the peach during my sip, but as soon as my lips leave the glass, it turns to heavy coconut flavor.

If i'm being honest, this is not really for me. I kinda knew it would not be. Can't win them all.

To be clear, I still prefer smooth beats so much better but happened to pick this up and it does remind me of it. And I do get more coconut then peach which is weird...

Maybe a dozen people in line this morning. Super chill release. I know I’ve mentioned this before (I complain a lot) but they currently have 16 cans for sale, most of which aren’t distributed locally but somehow make it up to Massachusetts. These cans would fly off shelves here in the city but they sit for weeks at the brewery. Why they don’t sell by the can from the bar is beyond me too...

I didn’t go to pastry town and have family who live in the area so it was a good excuse to stop by. I was one of the people in line at 11:45. No more than 15 people. Super chill release.

Some of the beers do sell by the can at the bar, I had a can of splash, the EQ collab for $7.

Thinking of driving over right now for the new stouts. Finback stout game is strong.

Did you guys try it today? Thoughts?

They desperately need to re-conceptualize this beer. Its pathetic. If you removed the label and told me Finback made it, I'd have a very difficult time believing you.

Good to know! I was hoping to have a taster but didn’t see it up there.

It was a welcomed change from all the syrupy sweetness I ingested yesterday. I will say I enjoyed the Tequila/Mazcal BQE variants a little more. FWIW I think like 8 of the 12 beers on tap today are +10% stouts.

Yeah, it’s not very apparent. You have to look at their beer list menu that shows which cans are available for in house consumption.
