Should've posted this earlier, but WF Columbus Circle will be having a 10-tap takeover tomorrow starting at 6:30 w/ the following beers:

Tried my first finback - BQE. Really good. Picked up the second to last bottle of it at Columbus circle

 

So are the oscillation cans garbage compared to tap? Debating if I want to purchase. I like it on tap

 

I wouldn't call them garbage, but the tap was just soo good. I do think the cans have improved over the past week, but perhaps im just getting used to it?

My buddy, who did not have it on tap, thinks its the best beer he has ever had. The previous winner was Second Fiddle.

He actually really enjoys the sweet finish it has.

I tried it on tap while in line Sunday, and it is definitely not the same. On tap it was a hazy yellowish, the cans are clear and more auburn colored. However, it is still very tasty stuff. Agreed it is on the sweet side, so some may not like it, but be your own judge. It's better than pretty much any 4pack you would buy at the store, I'll just put it that way.

 

So I bought cans before I saw the responses and it was definitely mistake. I want a refund haha.

This stuff is so cloyingly sweet I have no interest in the full can, maybe not even half. Gonna let it sit for a few weeks I guess and see if it melds together a little better.

Major quality control issue though IMO. This shouldn't have been released like this.

 

How does a beer that is so good on tap be so not as good in the can?

 

There are a lot of technical nuances that go into canning, there is a chance something went wrong in the transfer, but I haven't had either so not my place to say there is a difference.

 

Glad to hear someone else noticed the apperance difference.

Oscillation 003 slated for EBF lineup. I'm willing to look past the can issues with 002. Onward!

 

I'm really happy with oscillation 2.0

I like a certain breadiness in my pale ales. I don't find it often, but this crushes it.

 

If you didn't have the beer on tap I can see one enjoying these cans. However after having it on tap... The cans are trash
