It's walkable from the M, just shy of 15 minutes but definitely doable.

If anyone was looking for BA BQE, All Island Beverage in Bellmore still had a few bottles - $18.99/ea.

If you time it right you can jump on the Q55 from Myrtle and get off when you see the cemetery on the right side.

Should I be expecting any kind of wait when I get to the brewery ~2 PM?

Zero line at 12:45, 10 people by 1 when they opened.

As the 10th person, there was probably another 20 behind me by the time I paid.

Had a taste of 003, it is dry and DANK!

Oscillation003 is fantastic. Sort of tastes like Lambo Door, but much better IMO:slight_smile: Case limit, essentially no line, and much cheaper. The NYC beer scene sometimes makes me scratch my head...

    I paid 16 or 17 for a lambo 4 too. it's just the gauging.

Yea I'd love to check out Finback but I'm way too lazy to deal with a 2-hour+ round-trip trip. Wish there were an easier way to get there without a car. Hopefully some of these cans make it to shops like the previous ones did so I can grab a few and try.

Totally worth it to do carshare (enterprise car share, zipcar, whatever), its an easy trip. Did Manhattan to OH, then Finback, and back in roughly 2 hours. Obviously YMMV with lines at OH, but it worked out great today.

Its not that I dont want it, I do... but its a pain in the ass to get to Finback, especially from Coney Island.

The scarcity factor, FOMO, being one of the cool kids, the chase, etc trumps the quality of the beer. Grimm makes great beer and no disrespect to the many on here who seek it out, but the combination of good beer and human nature is fueling all of this.

There are probably many non-local beers sitting on the shelves that people are running past because they are not hard to get.

FWIW I thought Oscillation 003 was the best of the series so far. Big tropical nose (mango/pineapple)

Oscillation 003 is a great beer - was one of the standouts at EBF for me - but I think it's fair (and not just the hype speaking) to say that Finback has not historically had a reputation for putting out IPAs at the same level as, say Grimm or Other Half.

The 001 and 002 were both malty but if you've ever had a chance to try the Out of Gamut I think that IPA was definitely on par with OH and Grimm.
